Four estates - Giffard Park, Pennylands, Heelands and Neath Hill - will see crews applying a micro-asphalt surface treatment applied to a number of footways throughout the estate, work is expected to continue until August.
Each of the estates will see preparation works including weedspraying, localised patching, vegetation clearance, adjusting utility boxes before the treatment is applied.
This process will restore texture and profile to the footway and also waterproof the surface thus extending the life of the footway. This will also help to reduce the formation of potholes in support of the councils approach to "Prevention is better than Cure'.
