Milton Keynes Council has received grant funding from the Department for Transport Pothole Action Fund to help improve the current road condition on our network by repairing extra potholes with this money.

Milton Keynes Council undertook a review of its code of practice for Highway Inspections which includes pothole defects and as a result carried out a number of changes that enhances the authorities approach to pothole repairs, whilst taking into account adjacent authorities standrds to provide a level of consistency on a regional basis.

The authority also made it an objective to fill 20,000 potholes in 2018//19, this funding has assisted in achieving this target.

MK Highways used different techniques to fill potholes in addition to the conventional approach, examples of these are evidenced in the case studies below.
