About MK Highways

MK Highways is a collaborative partnership between MK Council Highways team and Ringway Infrastructure Services (RIS) Ltd

The contract started on 27 April 2014. The Contract term is for 7 years initially with the possibility of contractual extensions which may result in a maximum term of 10 years taking it to 2024. The Contract value over the full 10 years will be up to a maximum of £200M depending on Capital schemes and other work.

This Contract is essential to the effective and efficient delivery of Highways, Street Lighting and other related works including bridges and structures.

Our collaborative approach to working together underpins the success of the contract and the realisation of the benefits and savings that this contract will bring to Milton keynes.

In order to cement the collaborative approach MK Highways is working towards achieving BS 4400 which will evidence that both teams are working together to the highest possible professional standards. This will involve external audits by BSI and shows a commitment to excellence in the highways service.

Milton Keynes has been awarded £2.796 m grant by the Department for Transport who has identified that the funding should be directed towards repairing damaged roads, tackling potholes and repairs to bridges/structures.
